F70-14 Custom Wide Tread Redline Tire

The famous Goodyear Polyglas Custom Wide Tread F70-14 features a narrow red stripe on the sidewall, and the classic Goodyear tread pattern. This tire has authentic features for 1968 and 1969 muscle car and pony car fitments, including Chevy Camaro, Chevelle, Ford Mustang and many Mopar muscle cars. The bias belted construction features a combination of polyester cord material and fiberglass belts, a combination that Goodyear called the Polyglas. Although commonly referred to as a 3/8-inch redline, this special sidewall is technically a .350-inch red stripe.

Genuine Redline Tire

This product features a genuine redline sidewall style, this means that the red rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization.

Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900’s through the 1970’s on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Goodyear Custom Wide Tread

A reproduction of the factory-installed Goodyear performance tires used on many American muscle cars in the late 1960s and early 1970s. With its bold Raised White Letters and period-correct tread pattern, this bias-ply tire delivers authentic style, stance, and performance for classic car restorations. The Enhanced Sidewall (E/S) design replicates the factory contour for a correct profile and fitment, making it ideal for show cars and concours-level restorations.
